Where as 1-to-1 personal training is great for those who are looking for a coach/trainer to push them hard towards their goals, without the on-going coaching outside of the session.

A Personal Trainer is a qualified professional in exercise & fitness. If you have any goals relating to fitness (such as weight loss, strength gain, injury prevention/rehabilitation & more). Then by hiring a Personal Trainer, you are giving yourself the highest chance of achieving your goals.
Think of it this way, if you wanted to enhance your personal vehicle (whether it be for performance, aesthetics or even repairs). You would take your car to a trained professional such as a mechanic. You wouldn’t stress yourself out trying to do the work on your own whilst struggling to make progress. So why do that with your own physical body? Take out the guess work & hire a qualified professional.

This can vary from person to person but the best answer I can give you is when you are ready to commit to making a serious change/improvement to your lifestyle. Whether that be to get into a regular exercise routine or to improve your diet or to improve your physical health.
If you are truly ready to make full commitment to & achieve all of your current & future fitness goals, then you ready to hire a Personal Trainer.

There is a huge misconception revolving around Personal Training. This is that a lot of people seem to believe that Personal Training is too expensive.
I would firstly like to state that health is wealth at the end of the day & I would like to think that we would all like to live a happy, healthy long life. I would therefore argue that health is an investment that should be a priority & worth it for all. If your health/fitness is not a priority in your life, then Personal Training will never be affordable for you.
With that being said, if you feel that it would be hard to commit to a Personal Trainer’s services due to your financial situation then you have more options than you may realize, including:
Online Personal Training is a service that most Personal Trainers provide, it can be a great way for you to work with a fitness professional at a fraction of the price.
Hybrid Personal Training is another service that most Personal Trainers provide. Giving you “the best of both worlds” from an online service & a 1-to-1 service. With Hybrid Personal Training, you will have all of your materials (e.g. training program, nutrition program, progress & much more) in an online central place. You also receive a set number of 1-to-1 sessions per month (e.g. 1 session per month). The price range for this service usually sits somewhere between a complete 1-to-1 service & an online service.
Join a group personal training session. Group personal training sessions allow you to experience what it would be like to hire a personal trainer at a much cheaper rate per session. This is because the trainer will be working with multiple clients at once. However, the only drawback to this service is that things won’t be personalized to your own individual needs.

This is another question which certainly varies from person to person.
However generally speaking, resistance training should be completed a minimum of 2x per week & a maximum of 6 days per week (depending on your goals, circumstances, experience, fitness levels & most importantly, your availability).
As for cardiovascular training, it is recommended that the general population get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise.
-
A Personal Trainer can only give their clients recommendations.
With regards to nutrition, Personal Trainers are not qualified nutritionists or dieticians (unless they hold a separate qualification for this). Therefore they are unable to put their client on a diet. Your trainer may recommend making adjustments to your diet, but they will never tell you what you can do/eat or can’t do/eat.

Long story short, we are everyday, ordinary people with a passion for exercise & fitness.
The only real difference between you & a trainer, is likely to be experience & knowledge.
-
You are the client, so you should be able to choose a preferred time that you wish to train, however you must also keep in mind that trainers have other clients too so you may need to be flexible with your availability.
If you are looking to change the time of your training then give at least 24 hours notice, otherwise you may still be charged.
-
Personal Trainers are qualified to train clients in any location, whether that be a home address, a gym setting or even in a public space such as a park.
So, ultimately the answer to this questions is where ever the client has agreed to train.
